First Runner is a Winner for Capital Stud resident Mirage Dancer

Mirage Dancer has made a dream start to his stallion career, siring his first winner from his first runner. Nenette For Ever won stylishly over hurdles on debut in the Prix de la Tillaie at Fontainebleau on Monday.

The three-year-old filly, trained by leading French trainers Hector de Lageneste and Guillaume Macaire, showed a professional attitude and plenty of ability when making a winning debut, marking a hugely encouraging start for the first crop sire.

Bred by T. Cypres, D. Lumet and C. Lumet, Nenette For Ever is owned by Thierry Cypres of Haras du Pont, one of the leading AQPS breeders in France.

Vanessa Teehan of Charel Park Stud, who boards Thierry Cypres's mares and represents him in Ireland, commented:

"Nenette For Ever, Mirage Dancer's first runner, was an impressive first-time-out winner in Fontainebleau. She looked very forward and her trainer Lageneste Macaire thought a lot of her. They are now looking towards a Listed race and a Grade 3 with her.

Thierry Cypres of Haras du Pont in the Nièvre, the heart of AQPS breeding, is very high on Mirage Dancer. He has four three-year-olds by him currently in training with France's leading trainers and they are all highly thought of.

It's very rare that a first crop sire standing in Ireland has made an impact like this so early. Haras de Cercy will support Mirage Dancer this season and in the coming seasons."

Nenette For Ever's debut success represents a significant early milestone for Mirage Dancer, whose first crop are now three-year-olds.
