Capital Stud Sponsorship Kicks Off New Flat Season at the Curragh

The new Flat season got underway at the Curragh with the Topgear at Capital Stud Irish EBF Maiden, as Capital Stud's long-standing sponsorship of the opening two-year-old race once again took centre stage.

Now in its fifth year of supporting the race, Capital Stud continues to align itself with one of the most anticipated early-season contests - a race that consistently showcases some of the most precocious and promising juveniles of the year.

This year's renewal produced a fitting winner in Ruler's Control, who made a successful debut for owner Donnchadh Doyle, underlining the race's reputation as a platform for emerging talent and ambitious connections.

Trained by Jack Foley and ridden by Luke McAteer, the colt showed a willing attitude to get up and score in a competitive finish, providing a memorable success for connections as they continue to make their mark in the Flat sphere.

The race once again delivered on its reputation, highlighting the depth of young talent coming through and reinforcing its position as a key early-season indicator of future stars.

Capital Stud's continued sponsorship reflects its commitment to supporting Irish racing and breeding at all levels, while also strengthening the link between its stallion roster - including exciting young sire Topgear - and the next generation of racehorses.
